Creative Pathways Taster Sessions for Art Course

By popular demand, my school based art course is now available for 2026 as an after school programme. I've run this course in Worcestershire First and Middle Schools since 2023 as a wellbeing programme and it has been extremely successful with children taking part having great fun but also consistently changing their relationship with learning and raising their attainment in core subjects, as well as becoming happier, more self assured learners.

Each programme is bespoke to those taking part but all programmes end in a celebration of the art created. The children develop skills and create art for an exhibition that family are invited to on Week Five. Previous project outcomes have included framed paintings, large scale sculptures, embossed metal work, mixed media projects and working with resist materials. All material and costs are covered. The result is a joyous, memorable event you and your children will love.

What the course covers 

• Improve art skills
• Develop art practice in areas beyond the school curriculum
• Build self esteem and a love of learning
• Increase agency and self belief working towards an exhibition
• Reduce anxiety around learning
  

Alongside art mastery, we help children understand their strengths, how they learn and to be confident in their ability. They learn practical strategies in working towards a celebration of their work in the final week and an opportunity to share their success with family.

Recommended for children aged 9-13 years

Included:

• Weekly small group sessions- no more than six children- run in half termly blocks that fit with local authority term dates 
• Personalised learning tailored to your child's needs
• Expert teaching and guidance from an experienced teacher and art specialist
• Regular progress updates and parent consultations

4:00-5:45pm Mondays

Cost:

£25 for a taster session, with the option of expanding to the full course and exhibition if your child wants to.
